Hello from sunny Abergavenny, weather been lovely since we arrived Saturday. Site is less than half full, only 50 pitches anyway. Having a few niggles with various things, trouble is everything is electronic these days, OH has not got irate yet bless him.
I had my first haircut for 15 months, from shoulder length plus 3 inches curled over to very short schoolboy type crop, loving it but may not after I have styled it from wet myself.
thinking of gets DM, Snoozer's Steve and Dumpling. Hugs and spoons to all.The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)14 -
Morning all
Had a terrible night so only surfaced about 1/2 hour ago, never mind nothing pressing to do. WM is on and doing its thing so will hang that out as its a lovely day.
We took the dogs to the beach yesterday and sat and had a picnic in the glorious sunshine, we walked a little further than normal and came across a pubwe didn't go in but will next time for a drink and some chips
Onto today dd is working from home but doing an online course so I shall take the pups up to the park and see if my friend is there ive not seen her for a while so would be nice to catch up.
DW needs emtying and re-filling and the house needs a quick tidy but that wont take me long.
Florence My mum has not been offered her second jab yet either and its been at least 10 weeks since the first, I tried to find out some info yesterday about it but got nowhere, hopefully they will be in touch soon.
Thinking od Snoozers Steve xx

Morning all-I've just been having a catch up of your news as I didnt get on yesterday. My oldest friend drove down to see me at lunchtime and we had a picnic in the back garden. Luckily DH had finished all the flagging on Sunday and hastily assembled the new table so we were good to go!We sat chatting & eating for an hour or so, but next door was painting his fence between us and them so it felt like there was a 3rd party present
we could hear him puffing and panting as he did the bottom bits :)so we went for a walk. She wanted to walk by her dads old allotment , he died when she was in her late teens. It's only across the road and along a path.We met a man going in who lives on our road, I only know him to say hello to as he walks past carrying a box of veg or plants, but we got chatting for a bit and then carried on, passing places where we used to play as children. It was so good to see her after all these months.
I have just got a hair appointment for Friday morning!!Dumpling hope your legs ease soon. I might do a spot of cardmaking later, I've had some new dies and other stuff this last week too. Scarlet - I tend to buy male cards too unless I need an emergency oneTea is an easy fish and chips from the freezer so I've plenty of time.I might give the hound a hose down outside, she'll hate it but she is in need of freshening up!Thinking of those who could use a hug xTake care and enjoy the sun x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning, hugs if you need one. Specially for Gers.
So yesterday I bought a new car.....Vauxhall Corsa, I have forsaken my favourite Skoda. My good ness the spec on cars has changed.......I will need to read the instruction book very carefully. Had a mad hour this morning, could not find my insurance documents to cancel the Skoda. DB was driving me nuts........I ended up shouting at him to 'Shut up' before I lamped him. A;ll sorted now. I just need my blood pressure to drop.
Sunny morning I went out without a coat first thing. I guess the heating will be going back on after lunch, I got the blue hand syndrome again yesterday.
Egg chips and beans tonight, possibly raspberry something for dessert.8 -
Morning all another sunny day here.We have had several days out in the garden taking advantage of the good weather and the last of the hedge is now down, hurrah ! I have filled 2 green waste bins and there is still a lot more to be chopped up, but that will have to wait at the side of the house for now. 3 lawns have been cut and the hydrangea had been deadheaded. Several shrubs have also had a spring trim and some weeds have been eradicated.Today I'm having a quiet day and just pottering about as I've done something to my right shoulder, I didn't feel anything untoward till I woke up this morning and tried to move. I hope it's just telling me to stop and rest ... when will I ever learn that my body is no longer 30 even if my mind is ! I think a new book awaits my attention this afternoon while sunbathing on the patio, the last one came together in the end, but what a twisted journeyMr Fix It is at present trying to straighten up my whirly, it seems to be leaning like the tower of Pisa
Don't know how that happened.
I am going to ring Dad again tonight as he's poorly, I hope it's just a cold and not the virus that he has picked up as he's also been out in the garden where he forgets to socially distance when talking with neighbours or any passers by. He's also been to the bank every week for a statement.NMLC good news on the work situation.Dumpling look after those legs please.Nelski Are you ok? I hope so, I'm missing my paint chart challenge competitorScarlett I too find it difficult to make men's cards, glad I'm not the only one, thought it was just me !Hi Maddie I'm only a stones throw from you now ! Enjoy your break.Sending healing vibes to all the poorly ones, hugs to their carers and anyone in need, for any reason.Take care all, stay safe and well.nan xx
Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently12 -
RedRuby1231 - surgery phoned this morning about 2nd jab - I missed call and they left a message. What a palava - trying to phone the surgery - engaged then holding on and being told you are number 7 to be answered - went on for ages. When I got through - was offered 8.52 - it is a half hour walk so too early for me. So now I have to phone on Thursday to see if there is a later appointment.
nannywindow - snap! I have a leaning whirly.
