Studio - Returns Issue

Hi,
I hope I have put this under the right category, I’m new to the forum and never done this before but looking for advice if possible around a purchase I made from Studio.
About a month ago I ordered a new iPad from Studio on finance (for the small monthly payments) as I had heard someone I know had ordered with no issues. Firstly the tracking was completely off, said it hadn’t been shipped the same day it turned up. I got over this as I was excited for my new device. I had then set it all up, used as normal. After 2-3 hours of limited use the screen had malfunctioned and was unusable. I wasn’t happy at all, I emailed Studio with pictures as evidence and asked where I stand. They initially said they could arrange a free collection from a courier and in the meantime a replacmement would be sent out; later saying I would need to reorder once I’ve been credited so was the plan.
This was collected by a Hermes driver, one who drops off our usual parcels so we know him quite well; no receipt given as was told everything is done online so as we have tracking on the parcel to say it’s been collected we assumed that would be ok, our CCTV has gone over the 2 week limit for keeping footage which is a downside too. I’ve been chasing up Studio a couple days a week since asking for an update and was old on numerous occasions to wait the 21 day return period. They said they’ve raised a balance dispute to my account but I can’t see if that’s been done either. They’ve since sent me a statement asking for payment however I told them I don’t have the iPad so couldn’t pay as I don’t have the item and it’s been returned. They’ve now asked me to do a declaration form which I’m fine with, but I’m just concerned that I have no leg to stand on because my partner didn’t get a receipt when they collected as I was at work. This had turned out to be more hassle than I had hoped and I’m just so overwhelmed with it all.
If anyone has any thoughts on this it would be greatly appreciated.

So as things stand, you have no iPad and you are not being charged? If so, the ball's in their court. You can't provide any more than you have, so it's a case of waiting/chasing the outcome.0

Hi, so I have no iPad but they say they’ve raised a balance dispute but about a week later sent the statement through. When I asked about it they just said to wait the 21 days (even though I kept track and it said it hadn’t been received) and once that time had come up they hadn’t said much else about the statement and them trying to charge me - sorry if it doesn’t make sense it’s the first time I’ve come across this so not sure if I’m explaining right or if I’ve misunderstood the process!Aylesbury_Duck said:So as things stand, you have no iPad and you are not being charged?
