Holiday home faulty

My husband and I purchased a holiday home on 11/12/2020. Then we went back into lockdown so couldn’t go to pick up keys etc as we weren’t allowed to travel - & we are both classed as “medically vulnerable”. When we went to get keys on 18th January 2021 we found the caravan was flooded - holiday firm said they would sort it, we went back down last Wednesday & still couldn’t have keys as they only just put dehumidifier in it. Can We have our money back? Thanks Fiona

Why was it flooded? Was it new or second hand? If it was defective in such a way as to allow water ingress and the site knew it then you may have a case. But you would need to be able to prove it. Which holiday firm was this? When we purchased ours we paid a deposit and on handover 6 months later after siting setting up etc. we went and signed the paperwork in the van and thus inspected it and then went and paid.0

I suspect people will need a lot more information before any of us is able to offer any relevant advice.0
