    How old are these windows ?
    It may be that the sealed units are still under guarantee, so dig out the paperwork and check.

    I cant tell exactly how old but they are definitely more than 10 years old, so I am sure they are well out of any warrantee.

    And the company that I used they closed down years ago.

    And before you say FENSA insurance backed warranty, its worthless as when I had a previous problem and tried to claim on the FENSA insurance the company refused it because.

    "We will only pay out if the company gets put into liquidation, we don't pay out if the company voluntary closes."

    And that was in about 2006/2007 which was still within the 10 year period
