Yes and their web site says "Best Banks & Building Societies" so obviously they aren't going to push people into unregulated investments are they?ratechaser said:FCA registered, look, there's a number at the bottom of the page... and a nice office in the city. Sure it must all be fine.
They also say they have 99% 5 star reviews but they forget to say on which site. I can't even find them on Trustpilot or Feefo who are the usual culprits.0 -
It's a clone scam. The FCA register has no trading name "bonds 4u" on the register. SEI investments. SEI are not active in this area and do not hold the regulatory permissions to provide deposits.ratechaser said:

The website domain was registered on 19th April 2021 (just two days ago) for just one year using namecheap Inc. A different domain host to that used by the real SEI.
This is not the real SEI but someone pretending to be (although you know that, I have just added the info completeness)
I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.5 -

More to the point maybe is that similar adverts crop up all the time, often on what you would think would be websites who would take more responsibility for what they are advertising .
Then again if Classic FM are happy to have adverts for claim firms asking ' have you lost money on your ISA with your bank ? you could be owed thousands in compensation etc '
Facebook , Google etc are not the only ones happy to take money from dodgy advertisers of 'financial services '1 -
The advertising is often outsourced to agencies so they lose control of what adverts appear on their website but I guess they have assessed this risk and determined they are unlikely to ever be held to account for showing dodgy adverts and are happy to take the money without asking too many questions.Albermarle said:similar adverts crop up all the time, often on what you would think would be websites who would take more responsibility for what they are advertising .0 -
Are you referring to Northern Rock?IvanOpinion said:Back in 2007 during the financial crash when several banks collapsed some got help others didn't (an element of nepotism?).0
