I have often told the story of my dear old Nan (no longer with us) who made garlic bread for the first time.
Unfortunately she got a bit muddled with the terminology and the difference between 'cloves' and 'bulbs'. Most of my family took one bite and refused to eat any more, I ate my slice but it was hotter than a Naga chilli and I wouldn't touch another.
