PIP review advice

Hi,

I'm looking for advice please :)

DH has been on PIP standard daily living for about 8 years now and we've just received the latest renewal after having it
extended because of CV for a year.

a couple of questions i have are:

- the renewal form is due back by mid June, do i send it back asap (while F2F aren't back yet) or wait until nearer the
time (does this extend the end date by a couple of months)?
- The CV pandemic has made his mental health worse as our children getting illnesses was a trigger for him and so he is
constantly worried now.  hasn't been out for well over a year (apart from occasional walk).  Am i best off putting
'no change' or adding in the extra anxieties? (wondering which will is more likely to not have to go through a F2F)?

Thank you in advance for your advice :)

The timescale to return the form has been extended by 3 months from the date the form was sent to him, it will be on the top of the letter. It's his decision whether to return it before that or wait until nearer the 3 months. I have no idea whether they will extend awards further than they already have but bear in mind that if he returns the form ASAP then there's more chance of a decision being made before his current award ends.

When filling out the form please do not put just "no chnage" because this isn't going to help at all. You need to put as much information about how his conditions affect him as possible. Adding a couple of real world examples of what happened the last time he attempted that activity for each descriptor that applies to him. Send any relevant evidence you have to support the claim, even if it was previously sent.

Most people have assessments because paper based assessments are rare but they do happen. Face to face assessments are starting back up soon for some people but not all, so i'd advise to either expect a telephone assessment or face to face, this way if it's needed it won't be too much of a shock.

Sending the form back later will not extend the end date, just makes it more likely that the existing award ends before a new decision is made.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.
