Any benefits while on sick pay?

My 20 year old son lives with me. I work part time and Universal Credit covers the majority of my rent.
He is an apprentice and has been in his job around 5 months. He has been off sick due to mental health for about 5 weeks.
He got what I think was just basic sick pay, so about half his usual wage.
Its looking like he may be off for another while so, is there anything he can claim or, because he's not a householder, is there nothing?

The only benefit that's possible to claim for him would be Universal Credit but if he's claiming SSP from his employer then his UC would be reduced to zero. If not being able to work is going to be long term rather than short then it maybe worth him claiming UC, declare the health condition and send in fit notes from his GP this will start the work capability assessment process off and if placed into the LCWRA group he will receive extra money from the 4th month of his claim. He won't be able to claim for any help with the rent because he lives at home with you. This link gives more details. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/universal-credit-if-you-have-a-disability-or-health-condition-quick-guide/universal-credit-if-you-have-a-disability-or-health-condition
