Clear score showing old My Jar loan.

Hi, 

I joined Clear score this evening, which was really quick but I was as equally surprised to see they still have an active My Jar loan on my report which has an outstanding balance of £697 (last reported 12 Mar 2020) 

I had thought this was fully paid, they certainly haven't asked me for payment and I notice that they are no out of business. 

Do I get it cleared off my clear score report, or try and contact My Jar.

Contact Jar first to correct the information. 

It won’t disappear from your report for 6 years after the settlement date.

I had a debt with myjar and made a settlement offer to them.

Myjar are actually removing any default from your credit record upon settlement of the account (even if settlement is lower than the actual balance) so it is in your best interest to settle the debt. I was obviously chuffed they agreed to remove the default and all trace of the loan from my credit record.

 Thought that was the case, it will remain on my file 6 years after clearing.

As far I was aware it was settled, although I cant find confirmation of any of my myjar loans being paid off.  There is no outstanding balance, it would seem they have stopped reporting on it, before I paid it.

Its showing on my account as an outstanding balance, neither defaulted or settled. 

I spoke to My Jar today and they have confirmed the following. 

1) Loan is fully settled
2) That they were informed not to report anything negative on credit files during Covid 19
3) That part of their current issues, they will be removing all credit history from customers credit files.  This will start with the big three and then the info will trickle down to the smaller, third party credit score providers. 

So thankfully I can rest easy, knowing that I don't have a hidden debt which may catch up with me at a later date.
