Structural Walls Cost to Remove

Hi all,
I'm planning on making structural changes in my property. I will appoint a Structural Engineer to provide calculations. The changes are as follows (outside London):
1. Remove a wall between kitchen and dining room. Wall is 2.5m in length with a radiator on each side - pipes are exposed which makes lives easier. Wall is possibly load bearing so a steel of some kind is required. What is the likely cost to remove this wall, replace with RSJ and make good (i.e plastering)? I've received a quote ranging between 1000-1500, is this reasonable?
2. Create a new double (french) door within a load bearing wall, so a lintel is likely to be required. The wall already has an existing single door, but is currently off centered. I want to close this entry off and center the new double door in the wall. What is the likely cost to create this new double door+ close of existing single door? Quote 500 (door purchased separately)
Thanks in advance.

Both quotes are so cheap that I would walk away.Opening requires Building Control, which isn't cheap just on its own.Even the french doors involves an awful lot of labour - arguably more than a steel opening - even if it doesn't need an RSJ, but especially if it does.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

So much to read, so little time.0 -
For the french doors a lintel WILL be required.
TBH, your engineer is going to cost a big chunk of what you have budgeted there.0
