I live nearby a pub with a license that states a 10pm closure of the beer garden. Last night it was gone midnight when they were closing it. Is this allowed during this period of restrictions easing?
Thanks

If they are supposed to close the beer garden by 10pm, there is nothing in the coronavirus steps legislation that would allow them to stay open later. The council may have lifted the restriction as it is a matter for them.0

There are no automatic changes to licensing, however they could have applied for a TEN, a temporary variation or a permanent variation to cover the garden usage.0

According to the BBC, there is now no covid curfew for pub beer gardens in England. Different dates/times for Scotland, Wales and NI.
I guess they're all going to be busy now because people have been starved of a social life. As for me, I'm still isolating. Call me scared but that's the way it is.Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. I may be wrong but I think that the GVT allowed outside openings for all bars without them having to go through the palaver of applying for an outside licence which means their currant license will cover the to sell outside, even if thats 12pm
