2005 help to buy scheme

Hi,

Does anybody know what happened to the organization administrating the 2005 equity-based help to buy loan scheme?  I'm trying to sell my house and have been directed to Plus Dane housing, who then direct me to Target HCA but neither organization has any record of myself, the loan, or the property.  I'm unable to sell my house at this point and my chain is collapsing because nobody will take repayment and my solicitor won't complete the underwriting as it's a condition of the sale.

Does anybody have any recent experience of repaying this old scheme, or who to contact?

Thanks for any help.

it was the 2005 help to buy equity loan scheme. It turns out the scheme was taken over by plus dane housing. As a warning to others on this scheme, a call to plus dane's customer services number revealed no record of the loan and they directed me to Target HCA who handle redemption payments. Target HCA also had no record of the loan but said they would set up a new file once they receive RICS valuation and £200 admin fee.  After sending the documents and paying the fee they told me they couldn't process the redemption as they had no record of the loan. Meanwhile, my solicitor was able to make contact with plus dane's management who it turns out could actually process the redemption for this loan scheme. So anybody attempting to sell their property bought with this scheme should contact plus dane and speak to management and not the general customer services line. Also, Target HCA won't refund any money they receive and they ignore all messages so don't pay them anything. I've reported them to trading standards and will be taking them to court.
