We have an ex Antsnest in our lawn - I say ex - because there are no ants visible now
It is raised and about a metre squared - the earth is hard as concrete
What is the best thing to do with it ?
Try to dig it out or use some chemical on it to ensure no more ants ?
If we dig it out - how deep ?

All we didn for a neighbour was get a fork round it, put loads of holes / loosen the soil, sprinkle lawn seed and water. Looks no different to the rest of it this year.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2

Just take about 6 - 8 inches off, you should be able to see the soil level with the rest of the lawn, then add the grass seed. Can't remember if the neighbours was higher or lower when we sorted it out, but it isn't difficult.
Have you tried watering the soil to see if that helps break it up again.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0
