Is Income from Funds Classed as Dividends e.g. used against the £2k Allowance?

Is the income from funds like Invesco High Income classed as dividends WRT the £2k annual allowance or is it strictly dividends from individual companies?

Yes fund distributions are classed as dividend income. (Except there are a few cases where it can be classed as interest i.e. bond funds.)2
