Hi there.. my aunty has got shares in lots of different companies, just bits and bobs she's bought over the years. She wants to get her affairs in order and move everything online. She's not looking to invest anymore, just hold all her shares in one place where she can see them online (and do away with all the paper shares).. I know nothing of shares! Ive had a look but all the platforms seem to be about investing.. is there such a thing just to hold them? Thanks so much

If you hold shares, you are investing. If you invest, you will hold shares or units.

Provided they are not too exotic then Jarvis X-O should be able to help get the certificates loaded up into their Nominee account but that's probably not the right long term answer as investments should be under ongoing review for suitability to her circumstances. As part of getting her affairs in order she should keep records of the original purchase costs for the purposes of calculating capital gains on disposal. She may wish to gradually move the money into an ISA or pension wrapper as appropriate.Anyway Jarvis X-O can be found at https://www.x-o.co.uk/
