VWRP is not available on the Vanguard platform, but VWRL is.

    🤷‍♂️
is there a reason Vanguard does not offer VWRP if it is an ETF they set up?

    Seems a bit odd!

If I understand it correctly, the VWRP option would mean any dividends are automatically reinvested back in.
It means it doesn't pay dividends but the ETF provider will publish a report once a year showing what amount of income per share was earned and wasn't paid out as dividends.

At the moment they don't offer their accumulating ETFs.  Probably would just be more of a headache dealing with investor queries about tax etc - where the investors might expect the excess un-distributed income to be reported on annual statements along with the info from distributing products and accumulating open-ended funds, but the platform would find it less easy to implement.  You mention it's an ETF 'they set up' but really it's a different part of Vanguard that set it up.

When deciding what products to offer, it's easier to not offer the product rather than offer it and have the investors think your service is sub-par; as they don't charge for dividend reinvestment anyway they probably assume their retail investors won't mind certain versions of the product not being available on the retail platform.
