Relevance to Banking Forum is Cashback gets paid direct to Santander Current Account and those who view and reply here are more likely to be interested in taking something out for profit
Minimum premium £5 per month, my experience similar offers is allow/factor in to pay 7 premiums. if that is the case cost would be £35 = £40 profit
This offer has been running since August, I received email alerting me to it ( Santander get £90 minimum per policy) finishes next month I believe
States more than 1 policy can be taken out with multiple cashback available, I was wondering if anyone has done either this/similar offer and taken out same type of policy multiple times concurrently e.g Over 50s and received multiple cashback

  • Thanks, I wasn't aware of this, will take a look and confirm how it goes.  I have done with Money supermarket and Legal & General.  I still have few months left to get the gift card.
  • I applied to Life insurance and then Critical illness insurance seperately so that I can be eligible for £75 cashback 2 times. It was straight forward to apply and buy, just few health and personal related questionnaires and that was it.

  • Just today got 2 cheques of £75 each, my 6th premium was taken on 5th Oct and got the cheque today, pretty quick but I wish they had deposited into my Santander current account but never the mind, I will accept the cheque.  Easy £90 made.
  • Thanks for the update.
The promotion is still running and I've just switched to Santander so will look to do it for Life and Critical.
  • ok but no relation to switching bonus, when I did this back in Apr I wasnt a Santander current account holder.  Minimum premium can be £5
  • Paid last week direct to Santander account, only one product suited me, never imagined that it would stil be running, nothing to say after cancelling existing policy cannot take out same type of policy again for another £75 cashback.
  • I did it once this year and took my £75 cashback (£45, net of the 6x£5 premiums) and wouldn't go for another try as my details are now in Aviva database as having had, and cancelled, the product already this year.

I must say though that Aviva were very efficient in the handling of my cancellation, once I had got the cheque.

Why I got a cheque and not a credit to my Santander account, I don't know, but just snapped it into another account with cheque imaging. Easy peasy.

I had/cancelled  policy direct with Aviva, approx 2 yrs ago. Do you think this would bar me from the cashback. Do Aviva check for previous policies?
