Statutory Maternity Pay Increase

Hi, I’m not sure if this is under the right category but I couldn’t figure where else to put it.
I’ve been on maternity leave since September and my maternity pay stops in June.

From what I understand Statutory Maternity Pay has increased from the first Sunday in April from £151.20 to £151.97. I’m still receiving the old rate of £151.20. Does anyone know why this is?
I want to get my facts straight before I start asking payroll in case there’s something I’ve missed. I know it’s only 77p but it all adds up. I had to start maternity leave earlier than I wanted to because I was scared of catching COVID and harm coming to my baby. The downside is my little boy will only be 6 months old when my pay stops. I really don’t want to return to work when he’s still so young and so every penny counts right now!
Thank you.

I would think the most likely reasons are either that whoever does payroll at your company wasn't aware of the change or didn't check that the figure is correct, or that you are paid in arrears so the payment you've had is for a period for which the old rate applies.
But I'd ask them. All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)1
