Understanding share price movement

Can you post these again to show a comparison of your extrapolated line with a trend line that takes in the whole price period? That would show whether the new price highs have really broken the pattern of the old trend line.0

AHT has doubled in a year so the trend upwards is accelerating. Set the chart to 5 yr 10 yr Max.

AAL is also going to the moon. Again set to 5yr 10yr Max. In this case l'd guess it's chasing the old high of 3500. If it gets there who knows ?
Anglo American PLC (AAL:LSE) Share price, analysis, charts, news, dividends, EPS forecasts, annual reports and RNS - Investors Chronicle
RIO when set with similar settings is also going to the moon. Look at Max on the chart.
Rio Tinto PLC (RIO:LSE) Share price, analysis, charts, news, dividends, EPS forecasts, annual reports and RNS - Investors Chronicle
ADM in 2013 stood at 1000 and 2020 at 2000. Up 50% in last year alone.
Admiral Group PLC (ADM:LSE) Share price, analysis, charts, news, dividends, EPS forecasts, annual reports and RNS - Investors Chronicle
All are accelerating at a rapid pace. Why ? Who knows ? Sometimes you can understand moves due to better prospects but other times it's just a game. Again guessing the price of a share consists of company fundamentals , future growth forecasts , the overall direction of the market itself and the game investors play. Very confusing at times how to value a share you can do all the research you want and still get it wrong. Probably why many just stick with funds.?1
