CST Law - Unpaid Debt Reminder Notice

Initially had a parking charge from Smart Parking Ltd who then contacted Direct Recovery Plus Limited (DRP). Since then I have now also received letter from Zenith Collections and now finally a letter from CST Law outlining they will “commence court proceedings” if I don’t pay £170.
My first move was to hand the first letter from smart parking ltd to the gym owner as members of the gym are entitled to park in the car park for free as long as you type in your car reg (must of typed wrong). The owner said he will contact the company directly so I thought not a problem.
Smart Parking and DRP have persisted with letters so I again contacted the owner of the gym and he showed me an email from smart parking confirming my car to be cleared. I am in the process of retrieving this email from him.
If I am not able to get this email, what would be my next move?
Thank you.

By reading those letters carefully you will discover that Zenith and DRP are exactly the same company.
Read the fourth post of the NEWBIES thread. All you need to know about debt collectors letters is there.
To find the NEWBIES thread go back to that screen where you found the New Thread button a few minutes ago.
The NEWBIES thread is one of the first five threads found there - the one with the word NEWBIES in capitals in the thread title.3 -
Your next move would be to do nothing.
You could read the CST Law group thread, if bored!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you for the response. I have been looking now on the CST Law threads for around 2 hours yet still seem a little confused!Coupon-mad said:Your next move would be to do nothing.

Am I correct in saying that for now do nothing and email nothing until I receive a 'letter before claim'? In which case if I do receive an LBC then to proceed with emailing the PPC (in this instance Smart Parking Ltd?) and ask for a SAR?
Sorry I am young and new to all this so understand can be a burden.0 -

Chances of this progressing to court I would say are unlikely. Smart are litigiously benign. We can't give guarantees, but chasing a one-off ticket through the court is more costly than what might be recoverable. Do the math!Sorry I am young and new to all this so understand can be a burden. Many of the wrinklies we help also come up with the same age-related line - age has nothing to do with anything, it shouldn't get in the way of doing your research and putting in the effort to get on top of this.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

If I do manage to retrieve the email from the manager at the gym confirming from Smart Parking that my car was cleared, do I then email this evidence to Smart Parking directly?0

Surprise surprise ..... the merry trio strike again all nicely dressed up as clowns.
DRP .. ZENITH .. CST Law ?
These sad three are super glued together
Glad you have read the CST group thread because we have yet to see any of the OPS being taken to court. CST are certainly under the eyes of Scottish MP's for fakery. And that's it, CST Law FAKE their claims ... adding £70 in your case IS FAKERY ?
Your Gym said " he showed me an email from smart parking confirming my car to be cleared"
Not sure what "cleared" means ??? has it been cancelled or is your VRN now on a whitelist ?

Hi Beamerguy
So I seen the owner of the gym only 30 minutes ago and he told me that he rents the car park from Co-op. He again showed me an email he sent to someone who works at Smart Parking before Christmas outlining for the fine against my car registration to be removed.
I have also just this second been cc'd in a further email from the gym owner to get confirmation that the fine to be cancelled. Here's hoping that it works this time.
Surely if I have the gym owner who rents the car park on my side and sending correspondence to them, then it is in my favour?0 -

BUT you must get from the gym in writing that this has been cancelled and thereafter from Smart1
