Hi is there any account where I could put the spare money from my inheritance in that would lock it in so it could only be used for a house deposit abit like the home buyers ISA they used to have.
I will have about £28k to put too one side and I am 43 if the age is needed for some accounts like the above ISA
Thankyou Matthew

The current product is a Lifetime ISA but you are too old to open one .
If you need the money for a house deposit in the next 5 years or so , then you will be best just to put it into a safe savings account/Premium Bonds .
If the time scale is longer than that say over 7 years , you might consider investing some of it in a Stocks and shares ISA and hope for some growth but with some risk of loss ( the longer you leave it the less the chances of losses)0
