credit perfect other than voters roll

My credit on Experian is perfect no issues now at all and showing a score of 887. I am not on the voters roll. I have 1 final default dropping off in 2 weeks then i have no adverse or credit cards etc etc. I seem to decline on soft searches i presume this is due to not being on the roll if i provide a driving licence, bank statement etc etc will i then get approved?

Not being on the ER is a big negative. You need to get that sorted.

Your pretend credit score has lulled you into a false sense of security. No ER and a default doesn't make for a good history.  When you say you have no credit cards, does that means you also have a very thin file apart from the poor stuff? If so, you need to address that.

Check all your files to see what data is appearing on each, not just Experian.

Another card or two would be advisable for a number of reasons. And make sure you're clearing the card in full each month.

You need to demonstrate that you're trustworthy and low risk.

As above, ignore the score and focus on the data. Your score is not seen by lenders so has no bearing on your creditworthiness.

No ER and defaults are seen as big negatives by lenders. You need to get these sorted. If you get auto-declined by the application it's usually difficult to get this overturned by appealing, so I'd focus on getting yourself into a situation where that doesn't happen.

Use your CC to make purchases each month which you pay off in full. Also check your files from the other CRAs as well - Equifax and TransUnion - to make sure there's nothing negative that you aren't seeing on your Experian report.

No, providing drivers licence, bank statement etc won't get you approved.
If you are declined by the soft-searches the agency will not offer you credit, or at least I am not aware of any that would.
