Child tax credits will change of address trigger move to universal credit?

Hi just a quick question if I move to another local authority and obviously changed address would that then trigger a move to universal credit ? Or is it just housing benefit claims that would happen with ?

Thanks

If you aren't claiming housing benefit then you are correct, no impact on your CTC claim

Nothing triggers a move to UC other than making a claim for UC. what can happen is that some changes of circumstance result in an existing benefit ending and if continued help is needed a claim for UC is the only option. That would be the case for someone changing local authority and needing help with rent.

A change of address will not end your Tax Credits.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.
