most of the time you tend to be grateful that these things are left so that you don't have to get stuff immediately - it really is the inconvenience.

We moved a year ago  (mid first lockdown) - the vendors said that we could buy the washing machine and FF off them but wafted about a price for ages. Then when push came to shove (literally as they wanted to delay moving by a fee months) they decided to take them with them - they are stored in a barn now I think. We then had to new stuff which wasn't so easy in the lockdown but hey all sorted in the end . Difference was this wasn't on the F&F form

Moneyclaim online is easy to do yourself so not necessarily to employ a solicitor.  It does take time especially now but I was happy to be an irritating nut job  just to annoy when I did it.

If it was just a couple of bits and bobs then let it go but carpets have to be bought new, if you can find a second hand cooker for now and get a quote for average carpets plus fitting , and then for poles etc you'd be surprised how it mounts up

But I doubt they're entitled to claim for the portion of that which would constitute betterment.

Its very easy to claim. Google the value, include a quote for fitting and then LBA for it. Worst that happens is you loose £50 or so, but with it. Include the comments from the vendor as its more or less a submission that "i don't care I've done wrong".
