With an ever increasing number of Private COVID Testing companies on the market all with large varying prices has anyone done a comparison website to see the cheapest offers out on the market
This might also drive prices down especially if it creates healthy competition

If a comparison is to be done I would think it should not be based purely on “cheapest” but on things like service and reliability.
What is the point of the cheapest test if the results are not sent as promised? Cheap, but a missed holiday or flight as denied boarding, or perhaps staying in home quarantine for longer than necessary because test results not received. There have already been reports on this vein on here and on other consumer forums.2 -
The government has provided a list of all the approved suppliers for the day 2 and day 8 tests, for those returning from abroad. It includes the costs. As said above, be very careful who you choose as you can’t end your isolation until you have your day 8 result (and not until you have completed 10 days isolation unless you go for test and release from day 5). Stories around of people still waiting for test results on day 12 from the worst companies! If you intend paying separately for test and release from day 5, you may consider price the most important consideration. The list is here:
