Cancelling an order as waiting too long

Here is my first post so thank you in advance for any advice.

In January I ordered a bed from Luxdeco that stated on the webpage that delivery would be 9-10 weeks. The 9-10 week delivery time period ended last week. They said they would keep me informed of any updates but failed to do so. After a bit of chasing they finally came back to me with a revised time frame of the last week in June which would be 21 weeks since I placed the order.

I have contacted the company for a refund but I wanted to hear if anyone has any advice to offer should they refuse.

Thank you!

Don't see why they'd refuse unless you provided measurements or asked them for something particular they don't offer as standard. As long as you didn't do that, you have a minimum of 14 days starting the day after delivery to cancel for a full refund.

Furthermore, if the terms state a contract is formed on dispatch or some other event that hasn't happened yet, you wouldn't be cancelling and would be withdrawing your offer. There would be no contract for them to claim against and even if possession of the money passed to them, It would remain your property.

Thank you. The initial 10 week estimate has passed. Thank you for your advise. If all else fails I will make a chargeback with my bank.  It almost feels like they forgot to place the order with their supplier.
    Best wishes
