In practice, smells shouldn't be a major problem if you have a decent extractor, and even fryin' bacon - hmmmm - dissipates after a short while - shame.

How about rotate kitchen door 45 degrees and utility room will then be accessed off the hall rather than the kitchen.0

Remove the utility door.
Change the kitchen and utility door so they open the opposite side.
Change the utility door to a folding one.
Personally I would go with option one, quick, free and you may even make a couple of quid selling the door.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
Have you considered removing the wall between the kitchen and utility (and the door) - bigger kitchen and no door issues.0

Change the kitchen door to open into the hallway, add a magnetic door stop to hold it to the wall. If its anything like our house, you'll probably never shut the door anyway.0

Make the utility door an internal bi-fold door?0
