Dear Team.
We are looking for a big family holiday.
We have to be tested 72 hrs before flight. If the test comes back for 1 of us or more. We cannot go however can the holiday money be reclaimed for the person/persons if tested by a government testing station.
Thank you kindly

Only if you have a travel insurance policy that covers this risk....1

Why would the holiday company be liable to refund you if you were positive?
The only possible claim is via insurance. The travel agent isn’t liable to refund if you pick up an infection.

+1 in agreement with above. Forget Covid for a minute. You book a holiday abroad and just before you go you get appendicitis and need an operation so cannot go. You would need to claim the cost of your missed holiday from your insurance and not from the tour operator. Covid is no different so hopefully you all have appropriate cover in place. Good luck.0
