Hoping I can get some advice from someone who has been in the same situation as me. Last year we had our flights booked in May to Spain obviously coronavirus hit so we was offered a voucher. Felt worried we would lose our money we took the voucher to the value of the flights. So we then had a 1 year to rebook our flights using the voucher. As we was quite worried these would expire we rebooked for flights this June 1st 2021, we made the booking in novemeber time as we thought things was improving.

So now we have new flight tickets and a few hundred pounds left over in the voucher. How can i go about getting a refund from the voucher and the flights? Would this be possible? i feel bad I should have pushed more to get money refunded at the very beginning. I dont feel we will be able to travel not only with the restrictions but also i couldn't afford to isolate or pay for tests even if we are allowed to go.

Any ideas the best way to ask for a refund for the flights and voucher? Do you think I would have a chance or do you think I wont get a penny? if you do think I have a chance what is the best way should I call, or write it in an email?

Any people out there that accepted the voucher and then got a refund? Was it a lot of hassle, do you get quick responses from Easyjet?

Any advice tips would be really helpful.

Thanks Zoe

there have been a number of threads re exchanging voucher for cash and, as per their terms, this has not been possible.
Were your May flights cancelled? are your June flights cancelled?
May be best concentrating on seeing if you can get the validity extended so you can use in the future
  • Hi yes my may flights was cancelled by them. My June flights haven't been cancelled yet obviously we are all waiting about the new restrictions when they announce in May time. Thanks for your advice

You were entitled to a refund when your flights were cancelled.  You chose to take a voucher instead and unfortunately once you've done that there's no way to force them back to a refund.
