Sainsbury’s Credit Card

Any personal experience applying for Sainsbury’s credit cards?
Applied for a balance transfer 12 March 2021, Experian credit rating 921. Heard absolutely nothing, when I ring up I am told the application is under review and they can give no timescales. Rang today also.
So I imagine if my application does get accepted, it will also be another 3/4 weeks until I get the card and another 3/4 weeks for the transfer. This is absolutely !!!!!! and I’m going to be paying more and more interest every time.

Experian even states that I’ve got 2 credit cards now, and my eligibility to get another if I cancelled this is now much less. I actually want to cry.
Anybody had a similar experience?

Timeline for referrals are a little longer at the moment. You didn't score highly enough to get through the automated acceptance, so you'll need to be patient.
Don't cry over any nonsense that Experian tell you. I'd put in another application now, but leave it at that.1 -
Would another application not take a hit to my credit score?
I have always paid off my credit card in full until last month for the first time (paid over the minimum), and i'm confident that my credit score should generally be good.
A month seems absolutely outrageous i'd rather receive a complete no.0 -
Absolute pain in the !!!!!! Sainburys are to be honest! Took ages to send me out the forms/information needed before I even got the credit card. Once I had the forms it said I had a reduced interest free period so I cancelled the application with them. Such an old fashioned way of doing things!FTB - April 20200

There's no point in cancelling your Sainsbury's application, as the search has already been done.2 -

Applied online, confirmation email received within minutes, card landed on my doormat in less than a week with a very large limit (more than I'd ever use to be honest) and the longest advertised 0% period. As ZX81 says, if your credit files mean you sail through the automatic vetting, it's quick. If it needs human intervention, it'll take longer.Mind you, my score is excellent at ...... you know what, I've no idea what my score is, and I don't care two hoots. I just know that I've got a long and positive history, that's what matters.0

card arrival is quick once accepted and as soon as you have the card you can do the transfer so only another day or 2 to go through at that point.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans
