Barclaycard limit reduction post covid

Both my limits reduced today, can't see any reason to keep them now with just a couple of £750 'unusable' limits.0

It's all quite bizarre.
My limit also reduced yesterday, but by a different (smaller) amount to that promised for the 17th May limit reduction that never happened. All a bit odd.

Mine has also decreased but not by the amount stated in the letter. It's not a big deal as I've increased my limit on another card when I had the original letter so still have a card with a decent limit. However I'm not impressed with Barclaycard or their communication.0

Word is that Barclaycard was overwhelmed by the number of people disputing the need for a decrease. This delayed them doing things as they waited for the rest of the proof to be received.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Maybe they are overwhelmed by people disputing limits as it took me 20 minutes to get through to them on phone regarding closing my accounts, I knew I could have used the automated system but there was a small balance on one of them (£20ish) and having not closed a credit card for years I was unsure how this balance would be took after closure and I personally prefer to see a closed account on my file than a huge limit decrease.
Don't know whether I was right to do it this way but person on the phone said they wouldn't let me close the account with the balance on it as once closed I wouldn't be able to logon and make payment?? don't know if that's correct but I paid off the balance there and then and was advised it would be closed straightaway so that's sorted, good riddance Barclaycard.1
