Having moved recently, we need help with puss when we go on holiday. We used to have an excellent place in Dumfriesshire, so what are the best , and obviously best value in Edinburgh for our little pal.
Prefer south Edinburgh, as we're in Morningside.
thanks!

Thanks Angelflower, what a kind offer. Cream is a little unsociable though, so doesn't like other cats. I am going to have a look at cattery in Colinton on Monday.0

We've yet to find a nice cattery in Edinburgh. Instead we travel across to "The cattery" in Dunfermline.0

I know of a new cattery that's just opened near Forth if that's any good? It's run by a qualified veterinary nurse and her husband and has only been open a few weeks. It's called Crookland Cattery and can be contacted on (01555) 811541.0

Had a look at Colinton Cattery, seems nice. People were very friendly, so we'll give it a go in February.
Thanks for everyone's help, I'll let you know how we get on.0 -

We used Adams Cattery cattery near Bathgate in the summer and the owners were very welcoming. The cattery was very clean and the cats there seemed contented.0 -
I don't know a cattery but I can recommend a cat sitter in Edinburgh who I have used several times - comes round once or twice a day, feeds, cleans and plays with puss. Suits my cat much better to be at home.0

That's supposed to be very good indeed. It's just literally about 2 mins away from where we live, although we haven't tried it yet (we will later this year). We did say to a friend about it though, who travelled out from Edinburgh to use it, and she put her cat in over Xmas & New Year. She said it was really, really nice. She got a text message & photo on Xmas Day saying that the cat was fine & everything!
We did use a cattery in Fountainhall for years which is south of Edinburgh, but it's maybe a bit too far from where we live now (about an hours drive). I would definitely recommend it though - Ivanlea Cattery, who are FAB-registered too:
