Combi boiler leak sealer

Hey,

Just wondering what people's opinion is on fernox leak sealer? Does it destroy boiler components etc?

Have a slow leak on a combi which needs filling up every 2 months.

I've never used it but I can't see that it would cause any issues. If it's a long term fix or not, I'm not sure though. Is it definitely a leak an not a failing expansion vessel / PRV?

It might be a better idea to locate the source of the leak. As above, look at your PRV to see if it's dripping water, once these blow they rarely go back into place and seal again.

It's definitely not the PRV as no water is dripping and pressure doesn't go really high. 

I've checked all rads and ceilings and no sign of a leak. 

I'm getting a gas engineer to check the boiler and the heat exchanger for a leak first and then may think about leak seal to see if it helps.

If you are gonna use a leak sealer CT1 is the best out there
