Attempted suicide - will it affect my new UC claim?

Hi guys,
Late last week, I was at the end of my tether waiting for mental health help I've self-reffered for here on the out.
I received treatment significantly quicker in jail - so much so, I wouldn't mind if I get recalled.
I decided to drink 8 cans, 1 x 1L bottle of Baileys, 1/2 bottle of Whisky, & some wine in addition to about 70 mixed anti-depressants with a view to intention to die.
I got severely dizzy & ill, so I was admitted to hospital & placed on the AMU unit in & out of consciousness.
I was released recently.
Is it worth sending these discharge notes & Probation report to anyone, or should I just take them with me for my medical assessment that they recently received my UC50 for?
Will this affect my UC claim negatively?

Sorry to hear this. If it was me then i'd send them to the health assessment centre as extra evidence. Make sure you add your name and NI number to everything you send.

Cheers for the info'.
Do you think this will affect my current UC claim, though?0 -
If sending them to the health assessment centre make sure you send copies rather than the original letter (same with the DWP) as you may not get the letters back.

You will be assessed as normal, (like ESA) if they have enough evidence they will do a paper based assessment. If they don't you will need an assessment, either telephone or face to face, and these are starting back up sometime this month.

It will not have any negative effect on your UC claim.

Hi, I am so sorry to hear this. I assume your UC claim is pending? If they ask for these documents I guess you could send copies but I'd hang on to them, as you say, for your medical assessment.
I really do want to say that it won't affect your UC claim but I'm not an expert, I'm sure someone will be along soon to advise. I don't see why it should and hope it comes through for you very soon.
I hope you are feeling a bit better now and hope that you have someone you can speak with or turn to if you feel so bad again. It looks as if, just reading the bottom document you've posted, you were doing really well until your latest hospital admission and there's no reason you can't do that again. I really hope that someone is supporting you, sounds like you have really been through the mill.
Keep posting on here because getting things off your chest can really help and also, if someone responds, you know that there are people out here who can at least offer a friendly word or two - even if they are not experts and can't answer specific questions (like me).
I do wish you all the best and hope that things get sorted out for you very soon. You really do deserve it.Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. Mick I'm sorry to read this. Take poppy's advice. My youngest dd was wrongly diagnosed in her early teens and there was a long fight for correct diagnosis. We had the blue light admissions but thankfully she was finally diagnosed correctly, prescribed the right medication and had intensive counselling. She's now in her mid thirties and so grateful her attempts to leave the world failed. She now has a good life and wouldn't change it for the world.I hope you get the support you need and wish you well.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
There but for fortune go you and I.2 -

If a paper based assessment can be achieved then even better because there's nothing more stressful than these work capability assessments. As advised, it won't affect the actual UC claim in a bad way.1 -
Send copies, not originals.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.1
