Dreams beds 10 year garentee (dipping)

Hi all,
Want to check all is not lost on my mattress, before I have to shell out even more for a replacement.
Our mattress is 8 years old, and hasn't been great for over a year now.
Luckily I recently found out that I had a 10 year garentee , I arranged a viewing and they confirmed it has dipped but wouldn't accept anything until the dipping was 4.5 cm!
I was shocked that it almost half the width of the mattress had to collapse before they would consider doing anything.
This was never written down or shared with me, its not in the policy or garentee / sales paperwork. I measured the dip to be 2.5cm and it already gives me a disturbed night sleep, so I need to do something.
Has anyone got anywhere with dreams on this? There seems to be very little online.
Thanks
Ben

If you believe a 2.5 cms dip means the mattress was faulty, then your way forward is to get an independent furniture inspection (you will have to pay for it) to confirm your view.
Once that happens, and assuming they agree with you, then you would go back to Dreams and if they once again refuse to help than you would go to the small claims court for redress - maybe 8/10ths of the original purchase price plus the inspection cost?0 -
OP is claiming under guarantee and that depends upon what it says .Consumer Rights as post above .But at 8 years its out of the 6 year period .At 8 years its time for a new mattress anyway .0

The garentee covers manufacturing defects. But no depths are stated anywhere.
I'm not sure what constitutes a defect over 8 years but I was expecting it to be fit for purpose for the life of the garentee.0 -
I'd buy a new mattress. After 8 years, your current one will have gained a bit of weight...0
