Lost refund

I was sent a refund in December to my credit card. It never arrived so eventually the credit card company did a chargeback. The original company have now recharged me to their account as they say I have had 2 refunds now and are chasing me for payment. Credit card company insist it never arrived and company insist that I have had it. What do I do now?

Ask the company to trace the refund via their bank, provide you with the info so you can liaise with your CC company.

Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

Get the company to provide the ARN (Acquirer Reference Number) Date & time of the refund. Give that to the credit card co. They can then confirm if it was sent and what happened to it.

  • I have done that and the credit card company have checked but don’t have it. The company just won’t believe them or me!

I guess all you can do is see if the bank will confirm that is writing.
