I need to buy about 20-30 cartons for moving home. Does anyone have a suggestion where to get these from, please?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Ask at your local supermarket or corner shop. Moving is expensive enough without paying extra for boxes.
Also try freecycle etc. Might drop lucky with someone that has recently moved and wants rid of the boxes.1 -
If you are using professional movers then they will supply (at a small cost). Also consider wardrobe boxes if you have lots of hanging garments.

My go to has always been mcdonalds and kfc for the boxes their fries come in. Couldn't get any last summer, they all said no because of covid, but it might be different now though so worth asking, and supermarkets like mandy suggested. If you have to buy some, I was looking at storepak ones last year but I didn't end up needing them so couldn't say how good they are. You can get packs of them from argos and amazon.0

I bought mine off ebay - plenty of suppliers doing all sorts of sizes. I'd doubt any boxes you can get from a supermarket would be suitably strong enough - aside things like the fruit boxes/trays, which you can't really tip or stack (I doubt your movers would be happy). If you go on a local Facebook group, you might find someone giving them away. I gave away 60 boxes after my move, someone collected them same day I put up the post offering them.0

Use double wall boxes or crates for crockery and breakables. Single wall is fine for clothes and bedding. Used boxes on FB is the cheapest option, but you will also need reams of paper or bubble wrap to use as packing materials. Invest in a cheap parcel tape dispenser - it is worth it's weight in gold!"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0

I've got loads in the loft, pop round if you like.
Ask on Freecycle/Freegle/local Facebook group, etc.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0 -
Got mine from the supermarket and had the delivery boxes from work.
There's always loads popping up on Facebook and the like.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear it in 2026.1 -

I used the f&v boxes from Aldi and Lidl - no tops to them, but stackable and very sturdy so ideal for books. I plan to do the same in the next few weeks.
Testament to their toughness - I needed a knife to cut through the adhesive ends when breaking them down. But most of them I got rid of via Freecycle, was heading in that direction anyway so dropped them off.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.0
