Car Insruance

I recently had 2 cars and just sold one.  I went to cancel the insurance which runs out in June.  They want me to pay just over £18 to cancel the policy.   I told them I would keep the insurance and let it run out but was told as I had already informed them I had sold it I could not do this.  Is this correct?  I know its only £18 but don't see why I should have to pay for something I am no longer using!  Thanks

It's an early cancellation fee, as you have an annual policy.

You won't need to then pay for something you're not using, as the insurance will be cancelled.

    LOL Ok?

£18 is very cheap! for cancellation.

The next time you sell a car then perhaps consider as you say not telling them, and let it run.  :s

When the new owner has a smash and kills/injures a few people, your insurance company will be liable for half the claim if new owner has insured.

Or if not the Total Claim against you! as you will be the one insured against the car.   :D

Pay the £18 for the paperwork and time involved for your insurance company and move on.
