Verisure vs Simplisafe

Looking for some feedback on people's experience of verisure or simplisafe alarms. Based on research done,

verisure 
-Premium service and products, upfront around £400 and monthly £40 but includes guard response, photo based monitoring and police dispatch, lifelong maintenance warranty till contract is there
- 90 days notice period, costly

simplisafe
- looks very easy to use, has monitoring at £20 which is half of verisure and upfront around £300.
- DIY installation and camera requires wifi

I have been with Verisure since December 2019 and have no complaints. The customer service has been excellent and the equipment looks great and gives peace of mine. I also love the SOS feature

Its only when things go wrong that we complain.

How many times have you had to call them out in 14 months? - usually never. Plus 2020 was a year when we stayed in so the alarm may not have been used daily. An alarm to be working for that length of time without complaint is the very least I'd expect. Its not a glowing recommendation!
