Replacing Kitchen Unit Doors with MDF
Comments
-
I have a low-budget kitchen from MFI which is MDF and I regret it now. After 2 years it is already showing signs of wear. At the time I was renovating the whole house and prioritised putting my money into other things. Now I regret it because there is no way I would want the hassle of re-fitting the kitchen... but since it is a room that I use heavily it has grown tired quickly, eg one or two of the hinges have become a bit wobbly, one or two of the doors have slight dents and the paint has chipped a bit on the corners of a couple of doors. It only shows if you are really looking hard, but I expect that another couple of years will bring even more wear and tear.... I would get proper wood in a sale if I were doing it all over again.
