"E-on next" switch?
I am with e-on for gas and electricity.
I have just had email to say my registry "with e-on next" is almost complete.
I havn't requested a move to another energy company. Has e-on been taken over or something?
Has anyone else with e-on got this?

E-On Next is part of E-On.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1

I think they're moving over to a new system (the same one npower customers were moved to). It's the same parent company but a different branch of it, so they have different supply licenses etc.1
-
Also I believe all e.on customers will be moved to e.on next.1

Welcome to the World of the mighty Kraken.1

That's so crafty and they haven't sent me any bill statement. Just some figures and very GENEROUS ESTIMATES. Because of that, I can't switch to someone else. The Ofgem are in their pockets and they say that this is effectively a SWITCH AND I am stuck with them until March. Very cunning ruse to fiddle with your money.

Not a bill statement to be found!
Notice these estimates; and now I have NO idea what I am paying. I emailed the ceo and his PAs go round and round and refused to tell me what rates I am paying.07/01/22 Estimate Day 4730Night 56340 -
When I was with EON I only got an actual bill every 6 months (which explains March), but if you decide to switch you'll get an automatic bill when your account is closed, so you can still do that if you wish, although there's no real point in switching at the moment unless you need a specialized tariff.Your online account does tell you what tariff you are on though and from this you can easily work out the rates.0

Kraken also gives you an updated account whenever you enter a meter reading. No more excuse for having overlarge debits or credits, especially as you can adjust your direct debit at any time.

Your current tariff with Eon will be transferred to Eon Next, so the rates you will pay will stay the same until your current tariff ends, or, if you are on standard variable rate, when the price cap increases. You should be able to work out costs from this.0
