Office 365 - Amazon option

I am thinking of buying a subscription to Office 365 on Amazon, where there are good deals. If you include either McAfeel or Norton you get 15 months instead of 12 for the same price.

I don't want to use either, so does anyone know if you can block them from installing while you install the rest of 365?

I can't answer your question but if you use Revo Uninstaller (free) it will quickly do its job if they are installed.

    Hi Boa21,

Don't worry, neither of them install as part of Office 365.   You have to install them individually as they are totally separate and they are just product codes that you use.   i.e Just install Office 365 and don't bother with McAfee or Norton.    I have had this offer many times through Argos and I sell the McAfee on for about £5.

One tip, I always set my microsoft account to non-recurring before I give it the new code to extend it.   Whenever I do this, it offers me a free month if I change it to a recurring payment (as in, when the year/15 months has finished they will charge me £7.99 a month) so I get 13/16 months instead.    You then change it back to non-recurring.

I once bought 3 lots from Argos and for each lot I just kept changing the recurring payment and ended up with an extra 3 months.

    Hope this helps.

I bought mine off E Bay, where there are better deals
I took the 'one off' payment option rather than a subscription ... cost me nearly a fiver!

I did renew recently via Amazon. No difficulty in installing without Norton and, as you say, 3 months extra.
