Vendors responding to my(buyer)solicitor directly

Perhaps your solicitor has other clients to service. If you forced to account to your employer as to how you spent your working day in five minute segments then you'd appreciate matters from a different viewpoint.MrBog said:
I hate my solicitor with a passion because she is not transparent at all, which is why I wanted to get the vendors to reply to me + my solicitor directly so that I see their answers straight away.0 -
Forwarding an email takes seconds. Reviewing the replies takes time.MrBog said:The problem I am having is actually my so This I think is a delay tactic of hers as far as I can tell, because the vendors solicitor simply forwarded the email with the enquiries to the vendors the day he received them.

MrBog said:The problem I am having is actually my solicitor being very slow and not transparent at all. She took 4 working days to put the responses she received from the vendor's solicitor, word for word on an A4 pdf with her company's title block before sending them to me. She kept saying she needs to review them before she can send them to me. This I think is a delay tactic of hers as far as I can tell, because the vendors solicitor simply forwarded the email with the enquiries to the vendors the day he received them.
How I know all these things? Because the vendors copied me in when they responded to their solicitor and I've seen their email trail.

Maybe you're not her only client and you seeing the other solicitor's replies straight away is not of critical importance. She is doing the job you instructed her to do, just not at your timescale.0 -
It is of critical importance to you only, not to her or her other clients.MrBog said:
Well it is of critical importance, because then I can have her advance the transaction sooner, rather then her spending 4 days "reviewing" the responses.Tiglet2 said:MrBog said:The problem I am having is actually my solicitor being very slow and not transparent at all. Did you request your solicitor to work on a fixed fee basis at the outset?MrBog said:

Jesus, what happened to that saying: the client is always right? At the end of the day I am the one paying her salary so it should be of critical importance to her as well. It's not my fault that her firm is understaffed.Tiglet2 said:

You are not paying her salary. The firm she works for is paying her salary. You are paying for a service, which the company that she works for is providing.

Ok, but she hasn't processed them in any way, she still forwarded them to me only 4 days later and on a fancy pdf with the company header.TBG01 said:

Why I am saying she hasn't processed them? Because she raised a new enquiry asking for certificates that have already been provided as part of those replies.
And you know she hasn't processed them how? Have you seen the system so can confirm they haven't been added/updated on the case management system?
Have you seen said certificates? Can you confirm the vendor has sent the correct certificate your solicitor has asked for?0 -

Which part exactly?
You don't seem very good at explaining yourself or getting your point across so any issues you have had with solicitors could have been due to your poor communication and them not understanding what your saying.4
