So used MSE switch lookup which suggested outfoxthemarket, they have confirmed the switch has been made and we are effectively there customer.

so what are bulb claiming they wont refund until 20th May which means another payment has been made. thought these switches are supposed to make things simple not complicated.

our account is in significant credit, we asked for this money or rather a proportion of it so that we would remain with some credit some time ago and they made excuses not to pay it, so yes we left.

now they are saying we wont geta refund until after the final bill on the 20th May (this means in  about 3 weeks time they will be taking yet another payment make us even further in credit, so its not needed and we have to pay the new supplier), they have the readings that the new company started on and recent readings supplied by us.

So how do i get what they owe and can we charge them interest for every day they keep the money we are owed?

its no wonder so many don't switch.

    No you can't get interest.
Did you put a complaint in at the time they refused to refund your credit?
Why did you let your account go into such massive credit. You could have instead reduced your direct debit to a very low one so it would catch up.

Once you've switched you have to wait for the final bill which can take up to 8 weeks. Then some suppliers are even slower saying 28 days for the credit to be repaid. Its ridiculous I know.

How much have you calculated your account will be in credit after the final meter readings use is taken off?

I don't think that is true - you are no longer their customer.
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

Nope.  Six weeks for a final bill or else it's automatic compo.
Then two further weeks for any credit refund.  Again, automatic compo if they fail.

Yep sorry, typo on my part. 6 weeks, unless there is a dispute in which they can delay this issue of the bill.
