EasyJet 2021 Flight Cancellation due to Covid

What if I have to cancel or change my flight date due to Covid in 2021?

Anyone know their policy? Can't find it.

Looking to fly June.

thanks

  • Easyjet won't pay compensation for a cancelled flight due to covid. The flights where Belfast to London return. 14 days before departure easyjet said the flights had been changed and advised us of the new details. The problem was that the outgoing flight was from London. Despite making a complaint they have refused compensation on the grounds that an alternative flight was arranged. Can anyone suggest how to deal with this impasse?

no airlines are liable for compensation for delays and cancellations due to the covid global pandemic as confirmed by the European Commission....the pandemic situation is regarded as “extraordinary circumstances”

If your flight was cancelled you are due a refund or reschedule.
  • Sorry I used the word compensation incorrectly. I only want a voucher or refund. I should also mention that as we have flown with easyjet twice a week for 15 years due to work so it's particularly annoying
  • I had a end of May flight cancelled a few weeks ago.

had no trouble in either getting through or getting the refund (which was credited to my card the same day).

also had the return flight (made under a separate booking) refunded with no issues - all in all a very positive experience

Don't really understand if you paid for flights from Belfast then you should have been flying out from Belfast.  The times may have been altered but you shouldn't have got an outbound flight starting in London as that was your destination?    Can you confirm what they actually said to you?
  • They rescheduled the return flight from London to the day before we were flying out from Belfast. Several calls and emails later and no one at easyjet could accept that this was crazy. However good news finally. Decided to give it one last shot with easyjet. An hour on the phone and they agreed to refund the tax only but after further discussion was given the option of dealing with the resolution team .  If only I had known (option 2 option 2). One quick call and they got it immediately and I've been fully refunded. Joining a forum for the first time in my life has given me the confidence to keep going and not to accept the first answer.
