Insulating wall on inside
Comments
-
Once the room is empty, the first thing to do before insulating the walls is to lift the floorboards. Once they are up, seal any spots that may be causing the draughts and then fill the void with insulation. If you have 8" joists, a couple of rolls of 200mm insulation will be well worth the £34 and cut the heat loss dramatically. Once the floor is insulated, you can get cracking with the walls.quattros said: The room under the bedroom is a garage and there carpet near the front 3/4 of the bedroom is cold and draughty so will have to look into that too
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.1 -
And seal between the boards/sheets when you re-lay them, and finally around the wall perimeter under the skirting boards. SEAL THAT FLOOR OFF!
