Transferring from Vanguard General Pot to ISA

Hello,

I wondered if anyone knows how to transfer money from a Vanguard General Pot to an ISA? Is there a straightforward way to do this without having to 'sell' and withdraw to my bank account first? I've tried to 'Switch' but it seems this means switch to a different fund as opposed to a different account within Vanguard. Any help would be much appreciated!

Should be. The software provider Vanguard uses facilitates bed&ISA.   Look for a bed & ISA option in the GIA. (i dont use Vanguard but it will be there somewhere - Vanguard will have a guide).  They will likely need you to sell the GIA holdings to the cash account first before giving you the option to transfer to the ISA.

    This is the only way...

    1. Sell your GIA holdings
    2. Open an ISA with £1 (or have an existing ISA with Vanguard)
    3. Once GIA holdings sold and available (a few days) go to Payments under "account" and then the transfer money tab to move the cash from your GIA to your ISA.
    4. Once money moved across "invest" in your choose funds and the "payment" for those funds will be allowed to be from your newly transferred ISA cash balance.
