Late SAR response & 5 year-old PCN

You have submitted a Subject Access Request (SAR) and you have received your data that the parking company hold on you, at least I hope it was the PPC and not DCB Legal. You have not received a SAR! The data that you have received should enable you to write a comprehensive witness statement in support of your defence. Have you actually received a N1 claim form? If not, then wait for it, and then read the guide to court process in the NEWBIE sticky. If you have then action the information in the sticky.Kate_kt said:
I have not responded, this is my point and my question. I am asking how or if to respond now that the SAR has been sent to me. The last I spoke to DCB Legal was to inform them that I'm requesting an SAR from their client and they should hold for 30 days. Surely I would need to do something now that I have the SAR, surely I need to respond back to the LOC from DCB Legal?Coupon-mad said:If you've already responded, obviously you do nothing except read the NEWBIES thread about court stage, and the template defence thread, and all the zillions of other exact same DCBL court claims threads to get a heads up.
Why do people always think there is a next step, and a next one...if there was then the NEWBIES thread would tell you.
I have read and studied so many threads on here, including newbies, and I'm still struggling to know what to do now, hence my asking for clarity. I wasn't able to find a thread that shared my experience in having the SAR sent, but sent late, so wasn't sure what to do with that
Putting action on hold is never done because you have submitted a SAR but because, whilst you deny any debt, you are seeking debt advice and you require them to hold action in line with the pre-action protocol for debt claims.3 -

I'm unsure what a N1 claim form is, I don't think so?
The last correspondence I received from DCB Legal was a "Letter of claim" which reads "we expect you to payt he debt in full within 30 days of this latter, or alternatively acknowledge this letter within the same timeframe. Failure to do so will result in a claim being issued against you ..... If you ignore this letter or family to complete the Reply form, court proceedings will be issued .... our client is prepared to consider mediation, or another form of dispute resolution, prior to issuing Court proceedings... please provide your proposed steps within the deadline"
I guess at this point I don't feel I have much of a defence in regards to the £40 unpaid from the original PCN, I paid it late and paid the discounted amount instead of the full amount. So is my defence only to focus on the additional charges added by DCB Legal?0 -

Do a Google image search, then you will know what to look for when it arrives.I guess at this point I don't feel I have much of a defence in regards to the £40 unpaid from the original PCN, I paid it late and paid the discounted amount instead of the full amount. NO. Absolutely NOT a partial admitting of the claim. Nope.
You paid it to make it go away but didn't accept liability surely, so you will be defending the WHOLE claim and mentioning that paying them a sum of money to make an aggressive rogue industry leave you alone seemed like a good idea at the time but you wish to defend the entire claim (when you get the N1).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
