Ceiling fan blade

Hi,
We have a ceiling fan in the conservatory. Was installed by the previous owners, and it has no brand on it. One of the blades is damaged. Finding a matching replacement seems to be a pain and we don't really use the fan really and I personally find it ugly)
The way I see it, the options are: (apart from leaving it as is, but it might be tricky to sell in the future with a fan like this)
1) find a similar blade. Not sure how universal these are.
2) find a compatible set of 5 blades and replace them all.
3)replace the whole fan. I can see Fans under £100. I just don't want to drill more holes.
4) remove the fan. (which will likely leave an unsightly set of holes in the ceiling)

Any thoughts / ideas?
Mike

Replace the fan with a normal light fitting which covers the holes.1

As Chris says.If you look at the part that's stuck to the ceiling, you'll see it's much smaller than the whole fan size would suggest. Under that cover you will almost certainly find a 2-screw fixing which will be the same as that used for light fittings.Chances are it'll be a straight swap, and there should hopefully be no other holes or screws under there that could show. How long have you been in your house? Have you sat through a Summer yet...? Perhaps worth finding out just how useful these could be before deciding to fully ditch the 'fan' idea. Mind you, unless you can balance up the remaining blades - perhaps reducing it to three - you ain't going to be running that baby!0

If you want a set of replacement blades, this looks like it's from the same factory

The more you look on ebay, the more you see that could well have compatible 3-screw fixing of the blades.

Thank you all for the comments. We've been here 7 years, I don't think we would miss the fan. But maybe buying a new fan makes more sense than buying a few blades for £50. Even though the 3 screw fixing seem to be quite popular0

There are cheaper ones too:

If you check the below link occasionally, eventually one will come along with the same blades as yours, so you'd only need to fit the missing blade

Heh, yes there's good reason why the last one has no takers at 15 quid

It might offer a cheap solution, but divorces can be expensive 😂1

why not just cut a replacement blade from a thin piece of mdf using one of the other blades as a template and paint it white. no one will ever know the difference.0

They Will know the difference if the fan is operated and the weight or aerodynamics of the manufactured blade differ too much from the other 4 blades as even a slight imbalance can have a big effect if the fan is run at a reasonably high speed, tonygold said:why not just cut a replacement blade from a thin piece of mdf using one of the other blades as a template and paint it white. no one will ever know the difference.
