Car insurance for learner driver

I need to insure my daughter on my Fiat 500 for her to use to learn and practice in.
To add her as a named driver on my own Churchill policy , I have been quoted £700 additional premium. However, getting her a standalone insurance policy from an alternative (Go Girl) it's only £300. The quote acknowledged she's not the owner of the car.
Am I missing something?
Is there any reason why there can't be 2 policies attached to one car, each one in our own names?

Speak to each insurer if getting 2 policies. Who to claim from if the car is hit whilst parked?

2 lots of claims one in each name who share the costs?   Lots of pitfalls.
